Why Bees?

Our Mission

Our primary mission revolves around spreading a communal attitude and response towards stopping deforestation and the rapid decline of bees.

We aim to educate people about the importance of the Honey bee and all pollinators, and their active role in consumer culture.

Sometimes less is more and it is time for us to take charge of this deepening ecological issue.

Our Vision

Here at Bees and Thank You, we are focused on creating a conscientious culture where people understand their active role in the environment.

As our population continues to grow and our consumer culture becomes dependent on pesticide ridden, genetically modified perishables, our bee population dramatically decreases.

It is our hope by establishing these bee sanctuaries we can eventually put an end to honey bee shipping and monocrop culture.

Our Roots

Bees & Thank You was founded by Ryan Margulis and Nick Laorenza, who were inspired by mentors, social justice values, and mission-driven companies to create a business focused on environmental impact and community improvement.

Their initiative has grown significantly, serving thousands of customers while spreading awareness about protecting bees and the environment. The team also includes experts like Creative Director Michael, beekeeper Seth, and community outreach leader Jaycob Morales, each contributing specialized skills and passion.

Together, they combine business, education, and outreach efforts to promote sustainability, support local communities, and inspire positive change.

Our Sanctuaries

Unfortunately, due to the large demand for honey bees present in our current economic system, we have developed a method of shipping honeybees from state to state to keep up with pollination on the farms.

During this process honeybees are essentially knocked out with a mixture of chemicals and shipped across the country. When they finally arrive at their destination, they are exposed to mono crop farms and exposed to a number of harmful pesticides.

All of our bee sanctuaries will include organic plants and flowers suited to sustain bee health throughout the seasons, which will contribute to a robust and happy bee.

It is our hope, by establishing a criteria and access for bee sanctuaries, we will create a positive impact on the honey bee species and all polinators.
